Pentland Hills lost to Livingston in Round 1 of the Summer Plate. PH received ½ point handicap on board 1 but had to concede 3 handicap points on the remaining boards, a deficit of 2½ points. So PH had to win otb by 4½ - 1½ to win the match. But we lost otb by 2½ - 3½; 3 - 6½ on handicap - not a good result. Roy drew on board 4, Berian and Jim Wallace won on boards 5 and 6, whilst Ian, Mike and Walter lost on boards 1, 2 and 4. Roll on next year!
